GRAND KNIGHT'S MESSAGE

Hello All,

As the summer draws to a close our council will start gearing up for out Fall activities. Before your calendars fill up with school activities be sure to add Jackson Day on September 6th, our annual picnic on September 13th, and a Softball game against St Monica on September 28th. All are excellent ways to get together as a family and a council.

We will be marching in the Jackson Day parade, lining up at 10:30 in Holman schoolyard and proceeding through to Johnson Park. We will marching with St Monica’s council, so please come with your families and show the community our council’s presence in Jackson.

On September 13th we will have our annual picnic at the council. It is a great event for the entire family and an opportunity to recognize the contributions of many of our members and the charitable donations we make year after year.

In addition to these family events we will have a First Degree on September 9th. We have several candidates interested in becoming knights, please support them on their path to become members.

I would also like to mention an upcoming event at St. Monica’s council. They will be holding their second annual Rubber Duck Race on October 11 at 11am in Lakewood Pine Park. Fun for the entire family and great prizes will be awarded as they raise money for charities. For information visit their website at www.kofc11529.org. After meeting with Council 11529’s GK, Michael Casper we plan to share more information on each other’s events and I believe it will be to both of our benefit.

And in the spirit of getting together with Council 11529, we will have a Softball game on September 28 at 11am at the fields at our council home. Please see Bob Treval for more information and plan to come down with your families to support the council. Food will be served at a cost of $5 per person.
